But I hope you also remember how he inspired me to create a Gibson Girl with Kate, and to let him, in writing, punish her.

‘The Naughty Gibson Girl has to Pay’…inspired by our own Mr.Gibson.

I fully intend to continue with this, and the ‘Finishing School Story’, but things have been delayed, first with the construction of my new studio, and then the winter came….my new studio is fab, but up there, on the top floor of the old mill where my studio is, in the classroom and Victorian areas, it is too cold to work. So at the end of October, I lock it up until March, I hope to go up and give it a bit of a clean this week…time to wake it up, and dust it off, not seen it since autumn!!

I digress… As you know Mr Gibson is a bit of an elusive favourite of mine, he disappears to travel, at a moments noticed, no warning, no contact ..could be months, could be weeks, then he comes back, also at a moments notice, to start writing to me again as if it is the most natural thing in the world!

He comes with treasures for me, to put behind his red curtain. He has sent me a few in the last few weeks, my favourite is this Gibson Girl, with a subtle hint to spanking.

Now and then I have a day or two working in the background as you know. So I have told my vintage secretary to nip off to the sandwich shop, on her bicycle, and get us some sandwiches.

A bit blunt I know for me….but one has to speak to her in a retro way or she gets stubborn, and says “I do not like modern men! I want them like you Mr.Jones!”

Who am I to argue??
